Nope. Not for me. I spent too many years aboard Navy ships, sleeping in a berthing situation not even as nice as this, but just as crowded. No way I'd want to go back.

I look at it two ways, when I lived in Wisconsin and came for vacation and when I was working and had to stay on each of the islands.

If I was working and had to, I would do it but my company was pretty mainstream and I always stayed in some pretty decent hotels.

And then, if I was on the mainland coming for Vacation, it's a hard fast no. Even if I was younger. I just never vacationed that way.

I'm sure it will have a niche but I don't see a lot of savings.

What are they going to do with all of these boxes on the hill above Kahana and in other areas after these families get real houses and condos.

These pods are nothing new. There have been pod hotels in Japan for years. I think they started around 1980. Being that Waikiki historically has many Japanese tourists it might be a good idea.

I think I appreciate my timeshare and those that helped us figure them out even better now after reading about the sleeper pods, lol.
