I use it to pay my WorldMark monthly dues and I do indeed get 3x points.

Have not used it for MVC because I use my Ritz Carlton card for 6x Bonvoy points.

Thank you.

I mentioned in another thread that the value I'm finding for hotels in Switzerland and Austria is a very bad ROR for Bonvoy points. $005 and $.008. Using Chase points for air gives a much better return, more than double and up to 3.5X what I'm getting with Bonvoy. That's making me conclude that 3 Bonvoy = 1 Chase. It is supported by the exchange of 3 Bonvoy when transferred to airline programs vs. 1 Chase to same programs.

Chase Sapphire Reserve is the best for our needs. 3X points and $10,000 spend on MF's gets 30,000 points, which translate to airfare as $450. We might have about $50,000 in annual MF's that we put on that card.

Chase dumped Expedia and it's better now for booking. Less glitches.

Yes, they do. All of mine come through as 3X. Plus, we get $300 travel credit after paying our maintenance fees (1 time only per year).

The other benefits are pretty good but the Priority Pass Lounge benefit now sucks for us at the Denver airport. No lounges anymore, and we did have two restaurants until mid-year of 2024. Kind of a bust now. I did like one lounge in SEA that wasn't crazy crowded, but one was terrible.

Instead of using Chase points for flights via the travel portal I like transferring them to partners for deals in Business. In this case, much better than the $.015 from Chase travel. However, my friend was looking for travel from Nashville to Chile. The travel portal worked for him because he specifically wanted Delta for the quality. All the "points deals" I saw were on Latin airlines with crazy stopovers and less quality for the cabin experience.

We never got good value for the lounge on CSR. If we were flying domestically it was just get to airport, get on plane, land, leave airport. Whenever we flew international the airline provided lounge access with Business class tickets. I just couldn't make use of the extra amount of the annual fee. Which really wasn't much as we would immediately get $300 off with payment of m'f's. The difference from CSR to CSP is $250-95=$155. I never used the $100 hotel credit. Where have you used it? 3x points on travel vs. 2x (CSP) is looking pretty good again. Might be time to get a new CSR.

Chase just opened a lounge in PHX, my home airport. Their lounge in BOS is excellent. Used their terrace in AUS (although that will be going away this year). They also opened a lounge in SAN (& soon LAS).

Xfr to Hyatt is the best redemption/use of Chase UR pts for me; easily get $200+ to $300 value for 6500 UR pts at Hyatt stays (when Hilton/Marriott often need 35k+ pts for basic stay: Hyatt Place vs Hampton Inn/Fairfield etc; not aspirational properties, just regular travel stays).

@rickandcindy23 , if DEN/DIA is your base, may get Cap One Venture X (C1VX); Cap 1 lounge at DIA is excellent (if suits your flights etc).
Amex Centurion lounge there is also ok, but longer wait times etc and food at Cap1 usually better (+ can take away food in takeaway goodie bags, with packed sandwiches/drinks, if you want, at Cap1 which Amex frowns on).

At 395-300 credit, C1VX is a no-brainer card.
New C1 lounge at DCA has food from Jose Andres, fwiw...

We do have the Venture X card and got it specifically for lounge access but have also been very happy with car rental rates, and we get 2X points on anything we buy. The amount of money we save on car rentals through Capital One Venture X is amazing. We have a car for 6 weeks and 4 days on Maui for $1,400 through Thrifty. That amount includes all taxes.

The $399 fee is reasonable. You get points and a travel credit that basically pay for the card.
