We just tried buying some Westin Flex points on Resale on 3 different contracts and all 3 were ROFR by the developer. So trying to figure out what is the "sweet spot" price for Westin Flex Points on the Resale Market? Has anyone successfully bought Westin Flex Pts on Resale? If so, at what price per point? TIA.

Did you add your ROFR experiences to www.rofr.net?
He did, and his are the only data points.

Both contracts were for very low prices per point; I'm not surprised Vistana grabbed them. But I have no idea what price would pass ROFR.

Nov 29, 2021 I lost out 56 300 points to ROFR for $305.

Feb 24, 2022 I passed ROFR for $2750 on 112 000 points. I think it passed because it was during the transition period and probably slipped through unless the seller added 'extras' that increased the price.

I suspect you may have to go $1000 per 10 000 points these days.

Yeah, the resale price floor for Westin Flex is FAR higher than Sheraton Flex, which you can pretty much get for free and still pass ROFR. The maintenance fees are also higher. What would it have been for the nearly 300k points?

A related question from a newbie: I have ~44,000 StarOptions that I got at the Westin Lagunamar. I’d love to add at least 20-40k more points annually that I can use with my other star options…but I’m not sure where/how the buy them. I’ve read enough posts to understand you don’t get them retail, but is there a website? eBay? If there is already a link to another string, any help is appreciated.

Lots of places you can buy them. eBay, TUG Marketplace, Redweek are some of the main ones. Keep in mind that if you buy resale, 'Voluntary' resorts/programs will NOT give you StarOptions. This includes resale Westin Lagunamar weeks, as well as the points products (Sheraton Flex, Westin Flex and Westin Aventuras) and most other Vistana resorts. You have to make sure you are purchasing a 'Mandatory' ownership (Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas North, Westin Kierland Villas, Sheraton Vistana Villages-Key West or Bella phases, Harborside at Atlantis, Phase 1 and II, Westin St John-Virgin Grand Villas). Otherwise, you would need to make yet another retail purchase from Vistana to effectively enroll your 'Voluntary' resale into VSN to be able to use it as StarOptions.

I am looking at buying some Westin Flex resale. Has anyone had recent experience and what has passed ROFR? I am seeing prices at $0.05-0.08 per point (StarOptions).
