Has anyone seen anything worthwhile on the Platinum Interchange "Away List" this year?

Until a very recent year, I had never even known of the existence of exchange company Platinum Interchange. But then a hurricane hit Fort Myers Beach, the entire island became part of the Gulf of Mexico, and everything on the island was severely damaged, including my timeshare resort, the Caribbean Beach Club.

But all was not lost. Unlike other timeshare owners on Fort Myers Beach, owners at the CBC were afforded the ability to trade their certainly unavailable week into Platinum Interchange, and get full credit for the week as if there were no damage whatsoever. That's because Tricomm Managment runs Platinum Interchange, and they are also the manager of CBC. Indeed, if you traded your week in during their promotion, you could (and I did) get THREE weeks for the one week that was traded in. And their exchange fee is a very reasonable $129.

Because Caribbean Beach Club, like other Fort Myers Beach resorts, was "out of service" for multiple years, I accumulated numerous Platinum Interchange weeks. I used some of them but as of last year I still had three. And, to the extent that all three were about to expire, I paid the approximately $89 per to extend them another year, fully expecting to see availability during 2026.

But it looks like they've pretty much shut down. I know long time customer service reps Mike and Carmen retired last year, but would that make THAT much of a difference? On behalf of Jzdddy (?), who's looking for a Weston week, I right away thought of Platinum Interchange in that they always had VV Weston pretty much every single week from January through December, an occasional 2 BR lockoff but more frequently A units and B units. I checked on his behalf and there is nothing there.

Did I just miss it? Has anyone found anything of value anywhere on Platinum Interchange at any time during 2026?

I can't speak specifically to PI, but the changes at Vacation Village with the Vacatia acquisition could be what is leading to those units no longer being available.

Yes. That must be it in regards to VV resorts in that one can similarly no longer find VV Orlando or VV Berkshires, Massachusetts. But there are so many other resorts in Florida that they used to have. Daytona Beach, some slightly inland city on the west coast, a whole year of Magic Tree instead of just a few weeks. And others. Not 5 star resorts, but worth $129 for an 8 day, 7 night week.

So I stopped looking and now I'm worried they DID post something but I just missed it. Obviously, this year you've got to leap quickly if some rare week appears.

But if nothing appeared, should I even extend for another year of nothing appearing? Answering that question is the reason for this TUG post.
