I am wondering how you like it and if you were signed up with Global Adventures when you purchased you package? I can not find any info on Global Adventures in Google. I am starting to worry. They have a private website that you can log onto, however no feedback in google. I hope i was not scammed.

I'm moving this to the mexico board where I hope you'll get some response.

It's my experience that Global Adventures is one of the biggest scams going. I was never able to find anything comparable when I checked for availability. There either was nothing available or only hotel rooms. CVBR is a Red season resort year-round and trades very well thru RCI. Global Adventures turned out (for me) to be useless and a giant waste of money. IMHO, DUMP 'EM!

My advice is buy resale and buy cheap. If I were to pick a resort to buy in Cabo there are others I would pick first. Join TUG look at the reviews. Also look at Trip Advisor. It is on Medano Beach so I like the location.

We purchased at Cabo Villas Beach Resort a few years ago and will be using it in November for the first time. We are looking forward to it. We have an executive one bedroom with a jacuzzi on the patio.

In regards to Global Adventures we have found the same thing as others mentioned. Seems to be worthless. I did not renew it last month. I feel the amount we paid in the first place was a waste of money! I will most likely tell them that when we are there in November.

We were coerced (practically) into buying there a few years ago, when we should have known how to defend ourselves. The Global Adventures is something, I suspect, being run by the Erikson's mother. We tried to rescind the same day, and with the help of friends, did all the paperwork, registered and sent the next day, after being flat out refused at the resort. I also notified Profeca. We disputed the charge on our cc, refused to pay, were threatened with legal action by Chris Erikson, and finally settled by accepting 4 bonus weeks for our $6000 payment. We were sick over our stupidity. A few days after we settled, I heard from Profeco, but it was too late.
I sincerely doubt if many people ever see the gorgeous ocean front.demo units after the sales pitch. We only went back once, but I just kept wanting to scream at the lambs being led to slaughter.
May you have better luck. Jean

thank you all for your your input...

I will most likely be using the II as our trade company since we also received a 2 yr membership with them as well.

I have bought a timeshare from CVBR last summer. Sounded like a great deal. Have not joined global adventures yet-a little skeptical. As I wanted to hear what others had to say. I had seen that with the membership they had a 1 week stay at CVBR for around 400. NOt a bad deal. But when you look on their website all you can see is like 4 properties and the prices for it. So has anyone else joined global adventures and anyone like it.

I guess I would really like to hear more details about Global Adventures. They make it sound like such a good deal-I would hate to not here more details. I like to travel twice a year once over spring break and once at the end of July beginning of August. Is it hard to find a place with GA during these times. On the front page of GA it looks like there are some nice places to stay at including CVBR-which I don't mind going too. I just was hoping the GA would be a good deal because our TS is good only every 3rd year so I was hoping I could use GA the other years for travel. Do you not suggest buying into GA. It will cost us 700 to buy into GA and then I think 100 a year or something like that. I think it is reasonable if I can book a vacation or 2 a year with them. Also, can you send friends and family with your GA membership? Any info would be great.

I sincerely doubt you will ever find availabilitry at CBVR in the timeframe you set forth. At best, you MAY find hotel units in Cancun, but nowhere else in Mexico! I have a sneaking 'feeling' that CVBR holds on to it's vacant weeks...in order to rent them out themselves. So far, I have been able to use my floating weeks whenever I wanted; some on fairly short notice...which bears out my suspicions that CVBR holds the bulk of vacancies 'in-house', and not putting much excess inventory into Global Adventures. As I've stated above (IMHO) DO NOT waste your money on Global Adventures!

I agree...do not waste your money on it. We paid $1100 for it when we purchased at CVBR and they made it sound like a good deal....I renewed it for an extra year for $99 but have found no reason to continue it so did not renew last month. If you want anything they have you can get it elsewhere without paying a membrship with them. A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!! :wall:  I decided we would never bank our week with them anyway.

We went on the t/s presentation at Cabo Villas last week and all I can say is that I was not impressed!! They keep promising me that if we purchased 1 week then we would receive 3 extra weeks a year if we paid the main. fee for the week...of course, to use when ever we liked...yeah right...and this Global Adventure business...didn't sound too legit to me...we gladly received our $200, a bottle of Tequila, a bottle of Kahula and a ride for 4 on the glass bottom boat!!

If anyone has actually been allowed to stay for 4 weeks in 1 year, I would love to know...Thanks
