A coworker who is vacationing at cancun this week attended a presentation at his resort today. He was offered a 2 weeks of vacations annually for 10 years at H10 hotels in Mexico and Europe for $35000. $700 fee annually. RCI membership is included. He is currently staying at Ocean coral at puerto morales which is an all inclusive resort. Since I own timeshares and just returned from Cancun last week, he was asking for my opinion. I did tell him not to buy and beware of salesmen at Mexico. I have never heard this H10 resort membership. Any tugger know about this product? Thanks

I know there are H10 hotels in Europe. In September we were in Spain. In Madrid we stayed at the Westin Palace and there was an H10 hotel down the street from us. We passed it daily on our way to see the sights.

How much are the AI fee's. If he adds $700 to the required AI fees and can still save at least $1000 over what he paid on this trip and he wants to go to this brand of AI resort for at least one week in 7 of the next 10 years it may be worth it. If not he should rescind and save his money.

I told him to find out whether he needs to pay additional AI fee. My coworker came from Europe and his family travel to Europe about once a year. So the ability to use H10 hotels in Europe is a big plus for him.

Advice, just walk away. No run away as fast as you can or read the fine print page for page before signing..

I read it as $3500 not $35000. There is no way they are going to get any value especially if they plan on using it for hotel stays. I doubt they will be able to get 14 days in a hotel per year in anything but the lowest class rooms in fairly low season. Is that worth $4200 a year? They probably got a package with RCI points and was told they could use that for hotels. It isn't going to work out in a way that saves them money.

I tell him not to buy again. I think he is still thinking about it and has not purchase yet. They paid $6500 for a stay atl this resort for 7 days during new year which include hotel, all inclusive fees and flights for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. When I check RCI, the resort charges very high all inclusive fees. It is cheaper to buy a package than using rci.
