Gulp....Who's Ready for a Trenta?

Starbucks also offering pay by cell at all stores starting today.

Not every drink will be offered in that sized. They seem to be offering some iced drinks in that size - at least to start.

Starbucks is also offering pay by cell at all its locations as of today. For now, they only have Iphone and blackberry apps but will have one for android soon.

Personally, I wouldn't use it because of security risks but I think it is a trend we will be seeing across the board in all businesses.

What an illustration!

Not sure whether to say Ewwwwww or Wow - but putting the cup picture next to the stomach picture is quite the comparison! I wonder if the cup will fit in car cup holders or if you'll need a special Trenta Holder :)

Thanks, but no thanks. Starbuck's tastes too burned for my liking.

You sound just like my parents! They think Starbuck's tastes burnt.

But I think pgnewarkboy is right, it's only going to be for the iced drinks.

Do you think car makers will come up with new sized cup holders just for this! :D ;)

I don't like plain Starbucks coffee but I am hooked on their Venti Decaf Cappucino and have been known to buy two (with an extra shot). Unfortunately, the Venta is only offered in iced drinks or I'd be getting it. I was getting Dunkin' Donuts capps but.... their weaker coffee makes it too milky IMHO. Linda

StarBUCKS probably doesn't want McD's and others to get all of the obesity credit going around.:hysterical:

For the drinks currently being offered in the 34oz size they claim 95 or 156 calories depending on how sweetened. I am sure success will drive more varieties at that size with more calories.

For those who tink Starbucks tastes burnt:

A friends owns a coffee shop in Hawaii. They refer to Starbucks as CHARbucks... ;)

The Trenta, as has already been reported, is "available only for iced drinks."

Usually, about half of an iced drink is ice. So the size comparison with the human stomach is somewhat flawed. I think a Venti espresso would provide more real drink and be a much better buy than a Trenta iced drink.

I wonder if you may request a Trenta Frappuccino with no ice - or no visible ice? :D

Yet another reason I don't like Starbucks...Why can't it just be small, medium, large and extra large? The sizes and drinks are too pretentious for me, and I don't like coffee, so that also cuts down on most options. I do drink their passion tea (unsweetened) but I drink the small (translate that to whatever their word) I could not imagine drinking anything as large as their new size, except water, and that would take me all day.
