My wife LOVES that song.

But I don't know how to find it; despite googling it.

Can anyone determine the Guiding Light song that they played alot while Nola and Quint were in love.

It was a clasical tune; that's about the only hint I can give.

I want to get her the CD for Christmas.

Thanks,
Pat

Pachelbel's Canon in D. It was first used when Quint and Nola were snorkeling and scuba diving around St. Croix. Also, the processional song for my wedding ceremony. Shouldn't be too difficult to find a CD with the song.

I'll check tomorrow---but I think that's it!!!

Many, many thanks!!

If you simply copy/paste Pachelbel's Canon in D into your search window, you'll be given the choice of several versions to hear.

I've never watched a SINGLE Soap Opera in my life, but that song is also the song my bride walked down the aisle with (9/12/09)

:)

The version I used, since we were getting married outside Boston, is one recorded by John Williams and the Boston Pops Orchestra. There are TONS of versions of Johann Pachelbel's famous Canon in D. String quartet (what it was written for), string orchestra, orchestra, brass quartet (like the Canadian Brass), guitar ensembles, you name it!

I've never watched a SINGLE Soap Opera in my life...

Then you missed the whole Luke & Luara love story on General Hospital. Shocking!

Here's a recap from Wikipedia --
In 1979, Laura began working at the Campus Disco, managed by Luke. As the Herb Alpert song "Rise" plays, a drunken Luke rapes Laura on the floor of the Disco. A conflicted Laura admits to being raped, but does not name Luke as her attacker. Despite the rape, Laura later falls in love with Luke.

Critics panned the choice of having a rape victim fall in love with her rapist. However, the unlikely pairing became popular in spite of Luke's past misdeed when the story shifted to focus on love and redemption.

The couple married in 1981. The event was watched by 30 million viewers and remains the highest-rated hour in American soap opera history. In 1996, TV Guide ranked their wedding #16 in the "100 Most Memorable Moments in TV History."

Their marriage lasted over 20 years and gave them two children.
On Internet boards, the couple is often referred to as "L&L" or "LnL."
