Guess where Western States

Donner Lake.

Donner Lake.
Lake Tahoe's little cousin. We refer to Lake Tahoe as the "big Lake" and Donner Lake as the "little lake". There's a playground located just behind where the picture was taken and we have spent many an hour pushing our granddaughter on the swing. It is a beautiful location.

If you are staying in the north Lake Tahoe area, take a day to visit Truckee and Donner Memorial State Park (although you can access the docks on the the lake without paying to visit the park). There is a lot to see and learn about the Donner Party.

I've never been to Donner Lake. Looks nice.

San Diego skyline with the Coronado Bridge in the background. Did you take this from Harbor Island?
Yes and yes.
