I did not watch the last two episodes of Grey's Anatomy and was shocked to find out today that Burke left Sandra Ahh at the altor (or something like that) and George can't figure out what career to follow. what is going on?

I stopped watching it after the two hour show in which they did a spin off in Los Angeles. I thought that was so boring, yet I heard it was the most popular show ever. .
 
Christina left Burke at the altar.
And George flunked his intern exams-leaving him to find another career.
 
I don't watch a lot of TV, but I really do like this show.

Burke actually made the decision. Christina had been having second thoughts but resolved them. Burke didn't want to marry her on those terms when he didn't feel like she was 100% into it.

I thought it was a good surprise ending. I never would have expected it.

Other way around. Cristina was ready to go through with it (finally) and Burke decided not to. And yes, George flunked his intern exams, but his choices were to go through the intern program again (which he said he didn't want to do) or to drop out.
 
And don't forget Alex and "Ava." She left the hospital to go home with her husband (?) who apparently isn't a good guy. She told Alex to give her a reason to stay in the hospital, but he took the professional road (for once). Then, he regretted that decision and next season I bet he goes and finds her.

I thought the scene where Meredith cut the wedding dress off Christina while she was having her meltdown was terrific!

Interesting that the two actors who had the ugly clash off-camera appear to be leaving . . .

I thought she said her husband was a good guy??? And I thought Alex told her she should go with the husband for that reason.

Also, I thought the T. R. Knight didn't really have a "clash" with Issiah Washingon, he was just the recipient of the name calling.
 
slightly off subject but i was REALLY p---ed off that the 2 hour show was advertized as a 2 hour grey's anatomy and actually was a preview of the new spin-off with about 20 minutes of the actual" grey's " thrown in.
as for the spin-off, HATED IT!!
 
For those of you who missed it, go to abc.com and watch it online for free.

I don't have Tivo, so being able to watch it online has saved me from missing my favorite shows. It's all the networks fault!!! They keep airing my favorite shows on at the same time. :shrug:
 
so George and Burke are definitely leaving the show?

I guess I missed a lot in those two weeeks, but I felt that spin off was so bad that it soured me on the show and i wanted to see the episode where the miniture killer was revealed on CSI.

I don't think anything is "definite" yet. There are some pretty strong rumors that Issiah Washington (Burke) will be gone, but the rumors about T.R. Knight (George) haven't been quite so strong. I think the writers left it open so that several of the characters might be gone. But, with Addison leaving for sure, I don't think they could get rid of too many others. At least I don't hope so. And I agree, I didn't care for the spin off at all.
