Grande Vista Village Center Renovations?

I see on the Grande Vista resort page that renovations will start on the Village Center, what’s up with that? I hadn’t heard anything was starting, what are they planning on doing there? What ever it is it’s scheduled to take a year , sounds pretty significant. Any info on what the plans are?

They are planning to expand the Market a lot (temporarily locating it in the fitness center). While this is happening the Pizza Hut pizzas will be handled by outside sources.

They will also be converting the Lighthouse Bar into an ice cream shop.

There is a thread on the MGV owners group about this too. Seems that since they also have the Copa Loca Bar & Grill, the Lighthouse Bar really isn't needed.

I just hope they have plans to relocate the gym during all of this. The one they currently have is way too small already. I also hope they have some bar area plans for that original main pool area. They have so many activities over there that it might be a good idea to have some kind of drink service in that area. That lighthouse was nice, but too small for a bar in that huge resort at this point.

Mike, they do have plans to move the fitness center ... evidently they have a large space upstairs somewhere. (By the way, they have added some new machines.)
