Are there any owners in this family of resorts who can provide information about them? We recently stayed at the San Clemente Cove and have previously stayed at Coronado Beach Resort and Carlsbad Inn. We liked all of them very much.

Is there any kind of internal exchange system among all their resorts? If so, what is the fee for exchanging? Do you have to use RCI or II in order to exchange? If one owns at any of the 12 GP resorts, does he/she have access to all the others?

WE own at Carlsbad Inn. As I understand it within RCI you are exempt from the 1 in 4 year rule if you are an owner.

We have used Grand Pacific Exchange to get to Hawaii from GPX. They were very helpful and treated us like customers. A refreshing change from RCI. We intend to use them much more in the future.

There is a 'family' classification with RCI when making an exchange within their resorts which gives you priority. We just yesterday picked up Coronado Beach Resort for August 2011 thru that method.

The GPX they are building is becoming quite a large exchange company. The most recent had lots of Hawaii, Sedona, Napa, Santa Fe and even Hilton Marbrisa.

I am not an owner but we had a wonderful experience at the Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge in Lake Tahoe. I have posted a review and pictures on a previous thread.

Also love the Red Wolf Inn (the one at Tahoe Vista). Have traded in several times.
