Grand Ocean - View - OF or OS?

We will be in Hilton Head in January 2016 using points. Both Ocean side and Ocean Front views are available. I know with Ocean Side ( courtyard ) we could be looking at a tree and I believe that with Ocean Front we could still be at the side of a building. Any thoughts as far as which may give us a better view? If we choose Ocean Front, beside high floor, is there a building we should request?

It depends on how important a good view of the ocean is to you. Many ocean side units have good views, bit many do not. Most ocean front units have very good views.

Are you an elite owner with the ability to book via DC points at a discount in the last 60 days before check-in? If you are, you will almost for sure be able to book Grande Ocean at the last minute. We plan to do that this coming January. Last year Grande Ocean was available the whole month and we booked five days at one point just the day before check-in. So if you book now, you can probably use the Puck Trick near the end of this year and get some points back in a holding account to use later in 2016. If you are not an elite owner, just ignore this paragraph.
