Inexpensive Travel if you are Flexible
There are thousands of Timeshare Weeks that are left over. Two major companies try to find exchanges for owners. One is Resorts Condominium International- called RCI....the other is Interval International -called II. Each company offers their extra weeks to government & military workers, retirees & veterans. (II has fewer, but sometimes higher quality-Marriott, Disney, Hyatt, some Westins)
The RCI sites are many. I'll just give you a few- they are practically the same, except one may have more choices (#1). Click on (ALWAYS CHECK $299 WEEKS FIRST)

Finally,
www.vrbo.com is where you can rent for a month or longer. These are not T/Ss but private rentals. A few other exchange companies give weeks to all members for $99.00 & up. search Google for Dial an Exchange (free to join) or SFX (San Francisco Exchange. (also free to join lowest level)
