Received in the mail. 6 days, 5 nights plus $75, 15k Bonvoy points, or car rental for $698. I’ve always wanted to go to Hawaii but it has to be used in the next 12 months and I have way too many vacations planned as it is... hmmmm

I just used that a month or so ago. you MAY be able to upgrade, but you have to do it on site, when you check in. so no guarantee. it was 200 bucks per night to upgrade, so there's that as well. it is an awesome deal if you can use it. but the room will be one of the less desirable views, but for that price, it's not really an issue. I tried to refer friends for that one, but as my owners update in January, I was told (I know, lips a moving!) that they (Marriott) were probably not going to offer that deal any longer and no referrals are being sent out. just proved him wrong, didn't you? If you can.. go... you won't regret it at that price. the rental car alone is around 4-500 dollars..

I wish I could! No way hubs and I would go from NY to Maui without the kids.. but I sure do wish! I’d also have to tack on some time as that’s too far to travel for such a short time (and time difference). I have to give this some serious thought.

The promos are a good deal. The studios have an occupancy of 4 people - so not sure where the 2 adults limit comes from.

We have done 2 promos - our stays allowed 4 people (though just 2 of us).

I think it is ‘and’ car rental. We had car rentals for both promos.

The letter we received said “your invitation for two” however the details on back do allow for 2 children under 18. Our kids do not enjoy sleeping in the same bed and I don’t blame them (14yo girl and 12yo boy). The car rental was listed as one of the bulleted choices “plus your choice of one of the following”, so definitely not AND in this case.

ETA: I’m guessing anyone could bring 2 guests- how would they know if another couple stayed in the room?

The studio has a king bed and a queen fold out sofa that is actually quite comfortable. They also offer rollaway for 20 bucks per night. There is room for the chillens. Fyi

Maybe pick up an air mattress twin bed for one of the kids at Walmart. Might be tight on space though. If a roll away is allowed the airbed should fit and would cost less than $20/night.

Yes this is a good idea, we actually have one but prob easier to just buy one there. The main problem is vacation time, already planned trips, distance and airfare cost. But I’m thinking about it. I have a week on a trade I could eplus to something else for next year and go in August. Not sure it’s feasible.Hubs thinks I spend too much $ on vacations

We just used the same promo at Westin Nanea and they ended up giving us a mountain view top floor 2 bedroom unit for the two of us. Was crazy!

why not have wife sleep with daughter on one bed and dad sleep with son on the other. that's how we did it with our kids. then for your extended stay find a bigger place timeshare and enjoy a 10 day stay for that long of a trip

Great suggestion! On the rare occasion we stay in a hotel that’s what we do with two queen beds. I’m not a fan of sleeping on a sofa bed but for Maui I may put up with it. I wish they gave more than a year to use it. Summer 2021 would have worked!
