Gorgeous resort, one of Marriott's best, I'd say in top 3-5 easily based on personal preference, but absolutely in that upper echelon.
Beautiful views, great facility, outstanding layout of property, good staff---it's a great memory.
Beach below at bottom of hill, Crystal Cove State Park, is gorgeous too, but simply not so user friendly except for wonderful walks.
Worth the time to go.
But great goodness, it's the Pacific Coast----not all PC beaches are user friendly, and this one is that----cold, craggy rocks, limited width, etc....
but they ARE all gorgeous. And plenty enough beach sand to take great walks. Even many Hawaii beaches are not user friendly, but amazing to see.
LOTS to see and do in the Newport Beach area.
