My personal favorite is Lehigh Resort Club in Lehigh Acres, FL. They have so many activities that you don't have to leave the resort to be entertained.

I would love to hear about timeshare resorts that have good activity programs for adults. I've heard that InnSeasons Pollard Brook has a good schedule, although we have not stayed there yet. Here it is: https://pollardbrookresort.wordpress.com/?i=public.

Massanutten is another: https://www.massresort.com/play/activities/.

Any other resorts with a good selection of activities for adults?

I found Massanutten to have very little to do without paying either per activity or buying the activity card which cost $99. And it seemed you had to devote your whole week to doing activities or the activity card wasn't worth it. So we never bought the card.

We stayed at inn season with my mom. She did the nickel tour, wine tasting, mt Washington cog wheel, and covered bridges blueberry tours. She liked them a lot. Teens did painting lesson which was mostly adults. Don’t recall organized activities during the day outside of tours. the tours were very reasonable/cheap. There’s a nice park a few miles away with good easy hikes along the river. Harder hikes within 30 min. We had a very good week. Summer theater in town. Mom and kids went to Annie and said it was good.

What are the adult activities are you interested in ?
Examples: golf, tennis, board games, indoor & outdoors swimming pools activities, horse shoes, pickle ball, art & crafts projects, basketball, volleyball shuttle boards, putt putt, mail a post card back home to friends are some adult activities offer at the Marriott SurfWatch and Marriott Manor Club.

Plus, they do not charge a resort activity fees for these activities..

I own at Pollard Brook and Smuggs. Smuggs by far has more and better activities than Pollard Brook. Some are included in the pass you purchase (like guided hikes) and some are fee based per activity. You can go on the Smugglers Notch website to view all the activities for adults. but generally they have yoga, art classes, hiking, climbing, skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, ice skating, snowmobiling, golf- off site, fishing- off site, kayaking and canoe- off site, mountain bikes, electric bikes-off site- trip to Montreal, local tours to the area attractions, just to give you an idea. They provide transportation to some off site activities. In the evening they have a comedy club, an adult hypnosis show, magician at the pub, music and karaoke at the pub. Then they have aqua aerobics, group volleyball, basketball, tennis, shuffleboard, etc. A lot for sure. At Smuggs you never have to leave the resort to do anything unless you want to. There are certainly lots of things to do in the area if you are so inclined. Going through the Notch, Stowe, Trapp Family Lodge tour, Burlington and Lake Champlain and the Islands.

Pollard has a concierge who schedules some small trips around the area for sightseeing. They do snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking in a lake, stand up paddle boarding, the Cog Railway (not to be missed!) and a few other types of things. They also have discounted tickets for local attractions like Loon Mountain skiing up the road (free shuttle) Lost River Gorge- recommend-, and Cannon Mountain Gondola/Tram and The Flume- and they have their own trips to the Flume as well. Their activity fees are much less expensive than at Smuggs. Again, a lot to do in the area on your own as well.

Activities at these resorts vary depending on what season you go. There are dead periods that are very off season where pretty much nothing goes on and you are on your own.

What exactly do you like doing and what time of year do you intend to visit? That makes all the difference.

Welk has a decent amount of things to do, craft beer tasting, golf, rock wall and adult only spa and pool in San Diego. They've also got fire pits, gas grills, mini golf, "drone wars", cupcake contest, a whole "inspired for you" collection of other things. But almost all of it does have an extra fee......
Spinnaker had fishing and kayaks rentals on site when I was at HHI last April, however, the guys in the room next to me said they played golf almost every day for a week and only had to pay for a cart.

I think that beer or wine or cupcake tastings or perhaps local tours might be fun, as well as certain types of exercise classes and organized local hikes. Golf does not appeal to me, although it might appeal to my husband. Our timeshare (Charter Club on Marco Island) has catamarans free for owners to use, bikes and a weekly organized bike ride, pickleball lessons, ice cream sundaes, a Monday breakfast, a Wednesday free lunch and fashion show, and margaritas one afternoon. Some of the activities border on the hokey, but I get into them nevertheless. When we visit cities, I am always on the hunt for interesting (n0n-chain) restaurants and food or other walking tours, as well as museums and concerts. But when I am at our timeshare, I want to veg and maybe have a low key activity to look forward to each day. We were at Smuggs in the off-season (April a/k/a mud season) for part of a week-they had water aerobics which I participated in), but no other things going on. Their summer and winter calendars are full, though.

Marriott's Grande Ocean in Hilton Head, SC is one of the best.
The actual activities list is always a full page or two daily, so I won't even attempt to list everything.
Of course the activities are vastly different for different seasons, but no matter the season,
there are more activities to do each day than would be humanly possible.

We are there at GO at many times during the year.... 6 weeks around June, one in April, and many more random
spontaneous long weekends.......We have fallen in love with the January-February time frame, and use extra time
(Getaways, cheaper owner rentals, DC Points) to make the trips happen.
We now go for two weeks in January and 2 weeks in February, increased from only one single week as of 5 years ago,
because it's so much fun. We make plans with every bit as much enthusiasm as for our June weeks.

You'd be amazed to know that there are MANY couples who are there in Jan-Feb for anywhere from 8-14 weeks,
so we've become very close to many of those. My wife is a tennis player, and many of those people play tennis,
participating in the daily FREE tennis clinics at the GO tennis courts (there are 3 tennis pros at GO!!!)
They play until noon each weekday.

Some of these people who come around Christmas and stay into March.

It's a great time on the island in the supposed "off season", so I'm not so sure that term even applies anymore.
The units are always over 70% occupancy, and several weeks are nearer 100% during these two months.
When weather reports are discussed, everybody laughs because there are "no worries and no flurries", as I like to say.
We live only 2.5 hours away, so we're not there to "winter", but just to enjoy the lively island, and wine and dine our way around.
There are over 250 restaurants on the island (and many great ones), so there are ample restaurant deals and BOGOs,
so it's great for those who stay a long while and require a strict budget.

We've just completed our 2 January weeks, and February weeks will start "not soon enough".

I see you're from New Jersey......There are many couples from Jersey (and NY, PA, Ohio, Iowa, etc, etc.),
so you'd feel right at home.
Last week on our last evening we attended a special get-together (now annual) for all these special people
who have bonded over the past few years, and email invitations were sent out and we had over 40 people who attended,
and it lasted long after it was supposed to. Everybody brought heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages (lots of wine),
and it was a feast. It was held in GO's Crow's Nest, and was not sponsored in any way by the resort,
but only by this group of "friends". The age ranges are from 50s - 70s, and everyone is really fun. No sit-at-home folks here.

Check it out.

I totally agree. Winter on Hilton Head Island is great and staying in a Marriott is a winning combination. We were there last month for back to back weeks at Marriott's Surfwatch and Barony Beach. Surfwatch might even offer more activities than Grande Ocean. The nice part of Grand Ocean, Monarch, Surfwatch, and Barony is they are all on the ocean. A lot of the other timeshares there are not.

What a lovely and wonderful way to enjoy your timeshare and the friendships made over the years! Thank you for sharing!

We plan to be in Hilton Head every April from last year and into the future. We work for the school district in our neighborhood so we are bound by school breaks. Not a terrible thing by any means (except the airfare). We look forward to this years trip, again with cousins.

I’m wondering if you could share recommendations of some of those 250 restaurants you mention? We know Guiseppe’s Italian and like it and go there once or twice each trip. Other than that we’re not yet familiar enough with the restaurants on the island to call any of the a favorite.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

As far as adult activities, Marriotts Surfwatch seemed to have a lot to offer. There’s a putting green on site, guided, complimentary Wednesday night star gazing out near their ocean pool area, indoor/ outdoor pools, beach, bikes, walking paths to the ocean, fire pits, and hot dog and bratwurst night (complimentary). I’ve seen the activities schedule but didn’t use it as we were beaching a lot and out and about the island. I look forward to checking out the activities again this spring!

Enjoy your February weeks!!

Dee

We usually purchase a GO getaway every Nov-Feb time frame. There are many folks there for multiple weeks. There is so much too choose from. One perk for this resort is the FREE pass into Sea Pines Plantation. We take our bikes and love to ride there and eat . Resort also rents bikes. Also sunset cruise on Salty Dog catamaran is nice. Also always go to Bluffton farmers market and a day trip to Savannah. It is within a days drive for us and we love the down season.

Marriott Fairway Villa’s New Jersey is on a golf course, they have the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa on sight and Atlantic City Casinos are 10 minutes away. The best sights on the Jersey shore are near by.Something for everyone.

I agree that Marriott's Grande Ocean is one of the best although we like Marriott's SurfWatch too. We're currently at Grande Ocean for our 4th week after spending a week at SurfWatch. Both resorts have plenty of activities and we have met a lot of great people here.

Wow-Grand Ocean sounds great-when I retire next year, I may need to ask my Marriott owning cousin to find us an II getaway there off season. HHI is great-were own at Hilton so can only book via HGVC or RCI-but we loved our August trade into the Hilton resort there.
