I'm interested in playing golf onsite while staying at MGV at the end of September. Would like to play in early AM, while family is asleep, and plan to join them later. Do I need to book tee times or can I just walk on? Any info is appreciated!

The concierge can book a tee time for you. And, it's not free. You do get a discount though - I think 15%.

The golf course on site is a 9 hole course attached to the Nick Faldo golf academy. Across the street is Grande Pines, an outstanding, (and somewhat difficult 18 hole golf course. I bet Marriott does some sort of free shuttle over to Grande Pines, if you like. September is a RELATIVELY inexpensive time of year to golf around Orlando. ENJOY.

As a MVC owner on exchange, you can purchase a Faldo GC "membership" that's good for the entire week. The "membership" is $170 per person and the rate quote is good through mid-October. It includes unlimited greens fees, cart, and range balls.

Not a long course

I played the course in March and it was in great shape. What I didn't know was that is was only 2400 yards (this is my fault for not checking). It is very convenient, but if you're looking to hit your driver much, I would look at Grande Pines or other options.

The rate can be a lot lower depending on the time you are there. I was there in January and it was $135.
