regarding Global Exchange Vacation Club (San Dimas, CA location) here is my two cents;
After four hours of presentations and negotiations, I signed up. From the amount of paperwork, i thought i was buying a new car. they sure have themselves covered in paperwork. They even make you sign a paper listing three reasons why you are joining and keep a copy. and they tell you that the coversation is being recorded durning paper signing. Now I am wondering if i should have my attorney present.
10,000 RCI points.
paid the membership in full with credit card.
I am faxing them a letter to cancel the membership :
The main reason why i am cancelling:
i go to login to RCI.com to see how the system works and to test resort availibilty but i discover that i dont have a membership yet! The membership starts 30-45 days after signing up! So i cant even login; no RCI membership number. The memberhip number given at signup is a GEVP number (not for loging in) the contract gives me 7 days to cancel. and from what i am reading about this "vacation club" so far doesnt sound encourging. the concensus is that availability is hard for good resorts . forget it, I dont need this.
thank God for the 7 day grace period.
Thanks for listening.
