My wife and I are no longer using our Bluegreen timeshare and want to get out of it. Either sell it out get out of the contract. Any suggestions on good companies that have successfully freed people from their contracts or suggestion on selling the Bluegreen timeshare?

Do you have a loan on it? If not, it may be possible to give it away. Or try contacting Bluegreen and asking about a deed back. Don't use any company that says they can get you out or free you from the timeshare. Those are scams.

First, there is no such thing as a 'good exit company's. They are all scams. If your loan is paid off, list it in TUGs Bargain Deals as a giveaway. If you still owe on it, nobody can, or will take it.

You can ask if they'll accept a deed back. They probably won't.

The other option is to just stop paying. Your credit may take a hit, but maybe won't. We just don't know. If it does, it's temporary. You can write a mitigating letter to follow up any negative credit report.

Good Luck!

Bargain Deals, at least in the forums, is gone. It is now just referred to as "Free Timeshares"

sell/giveaway (has to be paid off)
surrender back to bluegreen (has to be paid off)
walk away

same 3 options for every timeshare owner!

There is a Facebook page where Bluegreen owners will help you sell, the admin is Scott Wilson. Bluegreen owners selling or transferring ownership

My husband and I reluctantly upgraded to platinum and regret it now because of the increased maintenance fees. I don’t know how much longer we will be traveling. They use the premise if we upgraded that we can sell our time share. What department at bluegreen deals with buybacks. We don’t have any loans on it. We have 2 different paid up properties.

Linda; It appears you've been trying to unload these weeks since 2015 (eight years ago).

TUG does have a Forum to give away FREE Timeshares. Have you considered posting your weeks there?

Sweeten your offering by offering to pay for the closing costs and first year of maintenance fees & you may find a willing taker. Won't cost you anything to run a posting.

I think Bluegreen only charges $500 for a deedback, that is probably a cheaper option.
