Getravelop and RCI

I was looking for a week in Williamsburg VA for July
I can exchange for a studio in Patriot Place but no Extra Vacation or Last Call .
I can buy a Extra Vacation in Kinggate which doesn't show up for exchange
I can buy the same week at Patriot Place instead of exchanging. Which is a Space A Vacation in Getravelop.com for Patriot Place for 329.
Why does a member of RCI not have the opportunity to purchase this week as a Extra Vacation or Last Call when it shows up for an exchange but Getravelop.com members can. My friends think I am stupid for paying membership fees to RCI and maintenance fees for a timeshare when they can get a better deal at Getravelop.com with no ownership required.
