I am sadly afraid the above cartoon is not based on fact. There is NO basement in the Alamo. I do wish these so called cartoonist paid a little more attention in school before spreading untruths on the internet.

It's not a basement, it's on the side of a crenellation/merlon like in castles. And the mugs and t-shirts at the Alamo cost a lot more than a $1 :p
