It's possible you are searching for flights with no availability. For example a few weeks ago, I was searching for a flight from BOS - MSN over the Christmas Holiday, it just kept searching and finally timed out. Turns out that there was availibity on the BOS - MKE leg, but not the n/s MKE - MSN. Instead of saying no availibility, it basically got hung up.

Since it is likely that any connecting flight on Frontier is going to go through MKE or DEN, try checking on a flight from your airport to either of those and if it finds flights then it is likely that there are no seats on the connecting flight.

I was able to find flights via the phone tree.. and then was told the hold time would be 36 minutes. I refuse to wait that long. Will try another airline even tho' I like Frontier's route LAX-CAK.

Have you looked into flights to CLE or PIT? Try a multi-city search and you may come up with something that is acceptable. Keep in mind that car rentals (if needed) may be higher if you rent from one airport and return to another. Also keep in mind your family/friends who may be picking you up. I recently had a flight from BOS to DAL and my return was DAL to MEM to IND to BOS but it was cheap and saved my friends about 40 minutes each way as opposed to them driving to and from DFW. You haven't given your dates so it's somewhat difficult to provide anything more than "general" advice.

Frontier has been having issues with it's website. I had to call to confirm a recent reservation with them because I couldn't get it to pull up the full itenerary on the site. The person on the phone said they were having issues integrating Republic Airlines information onto the Frontier website.

Since this has been going on for a while, Frontier really needs to consider spending some money to get it working NOW! Since so many people do things via the internet, it's a crime in business to not have a strong working website. Obviously, this issue is costing them money.

Frontier is a very disappointing company. Their website has always been the worst of any airline. We were sick of the price increases, lack of service, poor website, high miles to book a FF ticket, and the nickel and diming. We will fly on Frontier our last time in January.

This is very disappointing as they were the best airline out of Denver prior to being taken over by Republic Airlines. Change in Management and philosophy have ruined them and I also won't fly them again.

Think of how those of us who used to fly Midwest with it's 2x2 seating and fresh cookies feel.

Are you sure you're talking about Frontier? True their website has issues but, their service lacks right along with all the other airlines, their FF miles are the same (lower than Delta and USAirways) to book FF seats, and they nickle/dime the same as any other airline except that they offer direct TV on most of their flights (for a fee).

Frontier has started serving the fresh cookies. At least we got them on our last flights between Wichita and Denver and that was on one of the smaller regional jets and not the larger mainline jets.

The first flight the cookies weren't warm, which surprised me. On our return flight they were fresh out of the oven, warm and soft.

I'm really finding these statements very odd. Years ago, when Frontier first came to Wichita, they used Mesa Airlines to service the route between Wichita and Denver. The service was among the worst I'd experienced and we stopped flying them. When Horizon took over the route, they just dropped Wichita/Denver all together.

Then Frontier came back to Wichita with the regional carrier as off shoot of their mainline airline and service was about equal to any other airline. Then Republic took over and, over the course of time, they've improved their service to a point I look to Frontier first. My biggest issue is they put their schedule out something akin to Southwest airlines and, sometimes I don't want to wait that long. For our flight to Boston they had our departure date available but not our return date. Since seats were filling up for our departuer date and prices were going up, we booked with United instead.

Republic has even increased the size of their regional jets serving Wichita to a point where I can get my regular 21" carry on case onboard vs gate checking it.

My biggest issue right now with Frontier (and other ailrines) is their insistance on gate checking carry on bags to the final destination vs picking them up plane side when we land. There's a reason I have a carry on and it's not because I wanted it as a checked bag. Sure I realize many people use carry on's to avoid checked bag fee's but, in my case, it's because I DON'T want the bag checked, I want it with me.
