I just got back from a week at the Kaanapali Beach Resort (formerly Embassy, now Sunterra???) and was completely impressed with the attitudes of my fellow vacationers at that resort. I rented this week from another tugger. I have been visiting Hawaii at least yearly for almost 20 years, and have never had this great of experience with other travelers staying at a resort. Everyone smiled, tried to help each other, struck up friendly conversations, had a positive attitude. I have never seen anything like it. I tend to be a positive person, and I loved being surrounded by others of like mind. The resort was nice, but I have stayed at nicer......so I don't think that is it. I would love to bottle it though! I went with a girlfriend, and she commented on it too. Everyone had an upbeat approach and it was terrific. Does anyone have a theory as to why this was so? I have been on vacations with other female friends, my husband, other couples, etc., to various islands and many different resorts, and this was a first. Just curious if anyone has ideas as to why? We own at the Maui Schooner, and it is an older more reserved crowd there. They tend to be nice also, but nothing like this! Thoughts?

Live Aloha!!:whoopie:

Remember now it is Embassy, Sunterra, Diamond or is it Sunterra, Diamond, Embassy or is it Diamond, Embassy, Sunterra? I'm getting confused.

Once in a blue moon everything for everybody seems to work out in a particular location. Last December we were flying to Honolulu with a bunch of vets who had survived Pearl Harbor and were going back for the 65th Pearl Harbor Survivors Reunion. The Captain came on the PA, said what a privilege it was to take them back to Honolulu and that he probably wouldn't be flying the plane today except for them. Everybody, and I mean everybody, in the plane stood up and applauded.:cheer:

I suspect that glow stuck with everyone on that plane for at least a month. Best trip we ever had.
