Friend doesn't know what she owns in Welk

Hi all. I am well-versed in HGV and Vistana systems but don't know a thing about Welk. I have a friend that owns EOY points. She bought it several years ago, it's paid off and she never uses it. I told her to learn how to use it and she says they just try to upsell her. I said don't attend "updates" anymore.

Anyway, I'd love to give her some advice but I don't know much about how Welk points work. Where can I send her so at least she can use her ownership and enjoy what she paid for?

There are a lot of people who have no idea what they own.

Being educated about it certainly helps you use it to the max benefits. TS like CC points are all a game to me. You just have to know the rules and figure out how to play it best for you.

The sticky below is a good starting point. EOY is tough if you don't own enough points because you can only use borrowed points when within 60 days of check-in. Owners who live near The Welk can take advantage of day use privileges. I took over a contract a few years ago and thinking about giving it away due to large increases in maintenance fees and devaluation in II exchange.

She needs to look at a point chart for Welk and see what she can book. Call Welk/ Hyatt and ask for a link to a chart or look in the paperwork for information about what she has and see if there is a chart there.

Timeshare is not rocket science that has to be researched and investigated. If she bought enough points for a week somewhere, she can use II to deposit and get something that way.
