What's your most memorable ocean/river cruise and why?
Any ocean/river cruise(s) you frequently recommend as a "must do" to friends/family and why?

Getting close to retirement which opens up lots of opportunities for longer stays and last minute deals....
We've done a few cruises pver the years - Royal Caribbean (3x) & Disney (1x) (for the Caribbean), Norwegian (1x) (Hawaii cruise 24 years ago), Princess (2x) (for the Pacific Coast).
Recently booked a repositioning cruise on Celebrity (Honolulu to Sydney).

Google searches returned a few interesting articles...

We like trans/Atlantic-or Pacific repositioning cruises. Lots of sea days to enjoy ship's activities like trivia contests, cooking classes, lectures, specialty restaurants, etc.
When DW asked me which was my favorite, I said the trans-Panama Canal from Florida then down the West Coast of South America. It has a nice mix of sea and port days (no more than 2-in a row), not a huge number of time-zone changes. 16 or-so nights and can be extended with a 'near' Antarctic extension and passage around to Buenos Aires. We did it in December (high summer there) on Celebrity Eclipse.

Also favorites are AMAWaterways river cruises in Europe. Enough luxury to feel totally spoiled, but not pretentious. We'd love to do the Danube downstream from Budapest to the Black Sea, then perhaps extend in Istanbul.

I think our favorite was a 13 night western med cruise that overnights in Venice.

Here are some of the most memorable ocean itineraries we've cruised in no particular order of favorites:
Buenos Aires to San Diego 29 days
Baltic including St. Petersburg (would happily do a similar voyage sans Russia) 14 days
British Isles r/t Amsterdam 14 days with overnight in Edinburgh and the Tattoo 14 days
New Zealand/Australia 14 days
Hong Kong to Shanghai 13 days
Adriatic Venice to Rome 13 days
All on Celebrity. Land extensions before or after all cruises with timeshare stays added to the Baltic cruise (Hungary) and 3 others not mentioned (transatlantic & short Norway fjords cruise/England, Mediterranean/France).

After 40+ years of T/S ownership, I am no longer "an owner"

My two favorites:
-- Alaska Cruise & Land Tour from Vancouver. We were in Glacier Bay during a partial eclipse.
-- Norwegian Fjords from Amsterdam to North Cape with extra days in Amsterdam.

For me it was our 11 Night Disney Med cruise (Italy/France/Monaco).

I have a close second - more because of family/friends we cruised with. Itinerary was almost a repeat.

We have loved both of our cruises to Bermuda. The ship spent 2 nights in Bermuda so plenty of time to explore the island.
