Hi,

I'm new to all this but I'm looking to give away my time share for Diamond Resorts. We have 3500 points saved and will pay the maintenance fee for 2011-2012. My wife and I are not looking for any money just want this out of our name. I will use one of the third parties recommended on TUGG for the transfer .

Please feel free to e-mail me any questions you may have, I don't know a ton about this process, but will do my due diligence to make everything legal and pain free. If you are willing to take the points you will have a total of 7000 to use in January.
We have the Hawaii Collection. Our maintenance is 1551.63 per year. There is no mortgage, we have paid that in full.

e-mail me at wackomin@gmail.com

Thank you,

Minh Vu

I just gave Diamond resorts a call... The maintenance fee is actually 930.68 per year, this year is the only exception because of the Assessment for Hawaii, but we are paying that in full. Since we are on points our fee was only 570.

My wife and I will pay the transfer fee.

How many points do you receive per year?
How many nights does that buy you for a two bedroom, two bath unit?

Thanks,

George

Unfortunately for wackamole, 3500 points get almost nothing per year, if you want the Point at Poipu from the Hawaii Collection, you'll have to save points for three years to get enough for a 2BR garden view for a week !

HVC: The Point at Poipu, 3 deeded weeks, 1 of which is in The Club.
Here's some typical numbers for 5 nights at The Point At Poipu. Weekend days are higher. The last column is the # of points required. The maintenance fee seems kind of high for 3500 points/year. I have 15,500 points and it's $1353/year.

It's high because of the annual trust operation fee (flat rate) that is added to the resort operating fees (#/point).
