I'm sure one of the others ahead of me will take it first, but if it falls through I am interested as well and would definitely take it!

I would agree. While I don't know what the MF increases have done for resale values, these seem to be reporting in the $2000-$4000 range on ROFR.net. It has been a couple years since someone reported one failing. It doesn't seem like the spike in MFs is stopping people from pursuing it.

I bought a Legends edge platinum in 2022 for $750 and a Grande Vista Plat for $1 in 2021.
So you just donā€™t know unless you try.

Have you tried contacting MVC to see what their offer is? They just sold my Gold Season Desert Springs Villas 2 for $9k, they keep 50%.
I listed it with them in March so took a good 7 months for them to find a buyer.

I tried contacting them before I made this post and did not get an answer. After I made the post I got an email back.

All you had to do was post on TUG first :)

MVC should be able to sell this for you and you should get back about $6,500 from the sale. But you will have to wait up to about 6 months for them to sell and close.

Sounds like an easy flip for the taker of this freebie.... ;)

Marriott is very likely to exercise ROFR.
So there is no reason for the OP to even give the week away. It would seem like a big waste.

Last week I was offered a Grande Vista week with a bundle for $13,700. At 50% split the $6500 estimate sounds about right.

It would seem that the best financial decision would be to try to get Marriott to agree to try to sell it, even though ~ 50% gets taken by Marriott.

Well, Marriot got back to me and they offer to take it back for free. I will not have to pay anything but will not get any financial compensation.

That's nice.
But maybe you want to give it for free to a TUGer who will pay the closing costs to LTT?
Same result for you and a nice gesture to a TUG member.

Marriott is just going to resell it for $30,000

Marriott would probably take it in a $0 transaction via ROFR. The OP could easily sell it for $1000 or more. I personally would do what I could to keep it out of MVCs hands.
