No mortgage, paid in full, deed in hand. Seller pays all closing and transfer fees plus $1500 cash upon deed registration with Rockingham County, Virginia. Closing and transfer will be handled by Clark & Bradshaw P.C. of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Maintenance fees paid through 2026; 2025 week available to use or bank by 31 December 2025.
Maintenance fee for 2026 was $622.
Deed is for an upper, bi-yearly unit in the Summit. This means that if you bank the unit with RCI you can either rent an upper or lower unit each year in the Summit or you can rent both an upper and a lower unit together every other year. Otherwise, the unit is both an upper and lower unit in odd numbered years when reserving directly with Massanutten. Summit buildings are all two floors with two upper and two lower units accessed from a common foyer. The upper/lower rental combo consists of units directly above each other. Summit upper and lower units sleep 6 each (primary bedroom w/ en suite bathroom, secondary bedroom with 2 twin beds, pull out sofa in living room, main bathroom with jacuzzi, full kitchen with dining area in upper units, partial kitchen with dining area in lower units, washer and dryer shared between units - https://www.massresort.com/stay/lodging/mountain/the-summit/ for photos of unit interiors).
Red floating week.
Trades through RCI; RCI Gold Crown resort.
Resort amenities include on-site swimming pools and multiple dining options. Resort waterpark admission is not included with ownership. In season resort attractions include escape rooms, horseback riding, skiing, golf, climbing wall, and zip line. Resort offers an extensive activities program with crafts, classes, and recreation sessions available at a nominal fee. Ownership includes access and use of Massanutten’s Western Slope for hiking, hunting, and fishing while staying at the resort; state and local hunting and fishing regulations apply.
We picked up this unit on the secondary market while vacationing at Massanutten in 2008. Summit units and bi-yearly units were no longer available directly from Massanutten at that time. The Summit is one of the earlier developments at Massanutten, but you wouldn’t notice since it regularly gets renovated and updated. It’s about halfway up the mountain right next to the ski runs and is perfect if you’re looking for someplace quiet and relaxing where you can watch the sunsets over a mountain ridge and see the lights of your little mountain village come twinkling to life like you’re the main character in a Hallmark Channel movie (but also be a relatively short drive away from city amenities).
We’ve used the heck out of this unit while we’ve had it, both to stay there and trade for other resorts, but life is changing, and we’re not roadtripping the way we once did. It’s a great home base for antiquing, exploring Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive and Luray Caverns are must see destinations), visiting Monticello, and one thing we planned our trip around for several years was going to the Virginia Hot Glass Festival in Staunton in the spring. We’re hoping we can find someone who’s going to enjoy this unit as much as we have over the years. The $1500 cash after transfer is our gift to help cover your first year of vacationing at Massanutten in the hopes that it’s the first of many more.
