I've managed to transfer a Gold 8000 point Hawaii timeshare with higher MFs than this, so not sure why there is lack of interest for a better point to MF ratio.

While it may be a lower MF, it still isn't a strong ratio unfortunately. I'm shopping for this exact type of timeshare (8000 to 11,200 HGVC points), and my target is a MF around $1000.

yeah, one time I got a really good deal, like $500 from ebay with free transfer and next years MF fee paid. . .I actually kept it a few years, and then emailed them, it was an orlando property (I forget which) and they paid me $1449 which reimbursed me for the stupid account activation fee ebay cost, plus some extra lol i used the points in hawaii so it was really a free week there. For one hawaii contract they offered a free deedback. good luck on transfering it to someone
