The Powers That Be stopped giving the old folks home free testing supplies. A few weeks ago there was an announcement on the community app that they were having to pay for tests, so please use your own if you have one. I just ordered our eight, and hope with cold and flu season just about upon us that our nursing office is eligible for freebies too.
Expired may still detect covid - you can still get a false negative - but if you are positive with an old one - it's accurate. (Of course non-expired is better, just saying, they could be better than nothing).

Ours came yesterday. Both showed as expired, but I was able to scan the QR codes on the boxes to get the new expiration dates.
Edited to add - they came with a flyer stating that expiration dates had been changed by FDA and giving a website to look up manufacturer and lot number. I tried that but couldn’t find ours. Scanning the box brought me right to it.

For those of you who have gotten your test kits, did you get an email saying they had been shipped, or did they just show up? I got the email saying the order had been placed and that I would be notified when it shipped. I place the order on September 27, same as many of the rest of you.

We received email that they had been shipped, and our Informed Delivery daily emails tracked them too. In fact, we got an email on Sunday saying they were coming on Monday!

The extended expiration date of the ones I ordered at the end of September is December 2024. Not very useful.

The expiration dates have been extended - you can check their website for that.
