For Marriott International enthusiasts who feel the desire to help Marriott Associates, who in the recent past, may have suffered from the loss of a loved one, during a natural disaster, the loss of their home, personal belongings, income.......
........and for Marriott Associates in the Caribbean, these ladies and gentlemen were approaching their high season, which for gratuity dependent associates, is their primary opportunity in the year to make a living (I doubt that any public assistance is going to take into account unreported, cash gratuity income), Marriott International has established the Marriott International Take Care Refief Fund.
One thing to note, the messaging on the website below is quite clear, contributions to this fund will go to Marriott Associates of Marriott International managed business units. I should point out that I do not know if that is inclusive of Marriott Vacation Club resorts (my guess is no, but I do not know).
I will say this, for more than 50 years, our family has stayed at Marriott Hotels and Resorts, all over the world. Marriott Associates have taken care of us. Personally, I see this as a crucial time to help the very people who have cared for us, and created fabulous vacation, business, and non-business hotel and resort stays for us. My heart goes out to the Marriott Associates, particularly in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico, for example, has just taken a huge hit, an island with full service Marriott, limited service Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, and Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties).
Information on the Marriott International Take Care Relief fund is here:

I'll leave you with this story. An especially sweet lady who works in the restaurant at Marriott's Frenchmen's Reef resort as a server, and has worked there for years, had two or three sons that she was working to put through college, in Atlanta. This lady worked the morning to lunch shift at Marriott's Frenchman's Reef, and then got on a ferry to St. John, where she worked the afternoon to dinner shift, at the Westin St. John, also as a server, to be able to put her kids through college. I can't imagine what she is doing now.
