I just called by them too - they offer to rent out my Interval Program I have with my Westgate timeshare up to 6 weeks I pay the weekly fee they
rent out - not sure all details yet - wonder if they put a guarantee in writing ? Anyone else received more info ? I am new to all this

They called you. That's the only detail you need to determine that this is a scam in the making.

It's a scam. Avoid them and stop talking to them. Their agreement in writing will just be some offer to list your timeshares. They will fulfil that on some junk website that no one goes to. Your weeks will never rent and they will have your upfront money. The old rule in timeshare rentals and resales is never pay upfront for anything.

If they were legitimate, they would take their commission out of the proceeds of the rental, not upfront.

You said that you were "new to all this". first of all, welcome to TUG. But be aware that you are now probably going to be receiving a bunch more cold calls from scammers claiming they can rent out or sell your TS for money beyond your wildest dreams. Other scam calls will be the opposite claiming they can exit you from or cancel your TS.

We were cold called. And we fell for the scam. My wife and I were added to her parents time share deed when they upgraded it, they’ve owned that share since the late 1990’s.. At first I was extremely leary talking with them, but the more the woman spoke with us it became more and more believable. Flexx VIP had all our information, who we dealt at the resort, salespeople, who we closed with. They knew how many weeks we had available, they knew that week had weeks in bank that we didn’t use the year prior. They how big our rooms were, everything!

I'm sorry you fell victim to the scammers.

The scammers buy the list of owner information from someone who works for Westgate (or whatever timeshare system). This scam was typically aimed at those who owned timeshares in Mexico, but now any cold call could be the scammer.
Please remember to not answer any calls that are not in your contact list. No legitimate person ever cold calls you about your timeshare. No matter what (made up) name they have for their company, or what details they presume to know about you.

If you ever have doubt, you call Interval, or you call Westgate to see if they have any knowledge of the deal begin offered to you.
