Hi All,

We're heading to Puerto Vallarta next month for a few days, exploring options for renting longer-term. I'm mainly looking for recommendations of an English-speaking, knowledgable person, with a vehicle we can hire to show us around the area over the few days we'll be there. Not looking for nightspots and party recommendations, (that's a different kind of vacation - next time!), but a legit tour guide who can show us around and explain about the different areas, even if it's just for a few hours a day. (I'm talking about areas in PV, Riviera Nayarit, Bucerias, ExPat neighborhoods, etc. More than just how to find Costco.) We're staying in the Hotel Zone, in an easily-reached place near the north end of Av Fluvial Vallarta.

Anyone have someone they can refer us to? We're willing to pay the guide generously for their assistance.

Thanks!
Dave

We had a great guide who ticks all your boxes. Go to 'tours by locals'. Tatiana M was the person's name, Nice VW van, Great English (and Spanish and Russian).
Erika Tatiana Meneses Sanchez. You should be able to access Paula's review on TBL.- The reviews are more about Tatiana than Tours By Locals.

Let me (or Paula) know what you find out.

I was thinking that you have friends who live in PV to show you around. We enjoyed- and learned a lot from Tatiana- but it comes at a cost.

We do have a friend who lives there. He's going to be doing "some" showing us around. But he's not a tour guide, and I don't want to count on him for this. Thanks again for the referral.
