I just got my first paypal payment from a renter through Redweek.com. I'd had about 5 people before that fall through before payment from listings on the TUG message board, vacationtimesharerentals and perfectplaces.com

The date for check-in is December 31st, so I was getting pretty darn anxious, but it happened today!

Oh I am so happy. I was only renting out the first two days because I couldn't be there. This makes the trip so much more economical for everyone.

Of course now I'm really worried that they're going to have a bad experience due to construction noise at 4am after they've partied all night. I hope Marriott has more sense than to schedule construction on New Year's Day.

First Rental Congrats

I know the feeling. I just got my first rental payment, too. I think I am hooked on renting what I don't use.

I agree with Pat, there should be no construction on New Year's Day. Who would do it and why would Marriott pay double time if they are not severly behind schedule. Are they behind schedule?

I called the resort just to make sure. There will be no construction on New Year's Day. Also, I could have sworn that the construction schedule was originally M-F, but now the website says M-Sat. Maybe I was seeing things, but I think they added one more day of construction per week.

6 days a week does seem reasonable on a construction project. When we were in Myrtle Beach at the new Marriott, they were under constuction and I think it was going 6 days a week there, too.
