Today was the first day of trying to make summer reservations, 8 months out. Our first choice was Harborside and St John.......nothing was available. Third choice was Lagunamar and there is plenty availability. We were offered a 2 bedroom l/o. Since there was plenty of availability in Mexico, we will continue to try our luck with calling and wait listing for Harborside.

Following up from yesterday. I called back aound noon to see if anything had become available where we are interested intraveling. Nothing had changed, but I asked about Hawaii. I was told that all room types were available in both resorts. I was surprised of the over abundance of rooms.

With my daughter in college now, summer starts a lot earlier for us (~May 15), but I called last Sunday morning at 9:00 AM exactly to change my fixed Harborside May week to June 7 and got it. Things must "heat up" for the June 14-15 weekend. Were you able to get on a waiting list? My theory on this is that Harborside owners are overwhelmingly from the NE and Mid-Atlantic states, where Atlantis advertises HEAVILY and flights are quick, abundant and cheap. Everyone has a similar school schedule and all gold owners are competing for mid-June to Labor Day. I think if they build a third phase, we'll see big season changes (like what happened at Broadway Plantation, and to a smaller degree, at WSJ).

Good luck -- I hope you get it.

Called this morning at 9am. We got a 2 bedroom L/O and a 1 bedroom premium at Harborside Resort. I am glad to be persistant and not rely on the waitlist.

Is there room for a third phase? I do think the seasons at Harborside and St John are seriouly off. Starwood did correct this with Lagunamor Resort and but Aruba staroptions are still skewed to have cheaper weeks during the summer. That may change just like Cancun's options changed.

We only have a few more years to worry about the school calender. One child is out, two more in high school. We are looking forward to more shoulder season travel, May and September, in a few years.

Yeah! I'm so glad! We'll wave to you at the airport, with tears in our eyes, as we depart and you arrive!

Re room for a third phase -- not really. I was checking it out when I was there last month. But, I've got to believe that sooner or later Atlantis is going to buy Land 'o Lor (or whatever it's called) out. I think there are lots of owners there who would LOVE that!
