Festiva Orlando Resort owners (celebration world resort) - please read

I recieved a call from Lisa this afternoon and would like to help her in her efforts to locate owners at this resort that may have been "wronged" (shocker in the timeshare world aye?).

Anyway, she has been in contact with festiva about the "issues" surrounding the celebration world resort before festiva took it over and I hope they can come to a meaningful resolution for those of you.

here was the snippet from her email to me and request to locate owners at this resort:

For any owners at Festiva Orlando Resort, formerly Celebration World Resort, in Orlando, Lisa Ann Schreier has had an ongoing blog about this issue for going on a year. There is also a thread on a TUG BBS dating back to 2009 Festiva has both been monitoring her blog and subsequent comments from owners and reached out to her for a meeting. Lisa is serving as the clearing house for information. No documentation will be shared with anyone without express prior consent, but since this is an issue that could potentially affect three thousand or more owners, TUG is working with Lisa to get the word out to owners. Wow. This appears to be a timeshare scam under the guise of a legitimate retail sales organization. We had two or three or these pitches there from 2008 -2011 and I remember wondering how they lowered fees but came up with incredible amounts of RCI Points. It was a Pyramid Scheme! And right in plain view of the DBMR no less. This could REALLY be a nasty turn for the owners and another black eye for the industry.

Why does it figure it was literally just up the road from Wastegate (although for once the King wasn't involved).

I unfortunatley am an owner involved in this

There are 11,000 owners of the resort
I wonder how the State of Florida and the Disney company feel about the loss of revenue that could result in most of these not coming to Florida.

Such a pity as I've said before so many happy memories and would like to think my grandchildren would be able to enjoy some.
Not through timeshare I fear. As we have lost the barging power with RCI and II through these ripoff merchants.

saw this in a news clip today...no idea of the legitimacy of it...but if you are an owner maybe this will pan out!

(unlike every other class action suit in timeshare history...lol)
