Favorite restaurants in Cancun?

Casa Maguey was very good and underated. The Shrimp dishes were fantastic and they are on the E-Plus 2x1 card which makes them one of the best deals in town.

We also had a very disappointing experience at Laguna Grill last year. Too bad, because it's a lovely venue.

I agree with all the above restaurant choices.

One of the restaurants that I'm not very fond of is Lorenzillo's. Last time I was there, about ten years ago, the food wasn't good and the service was poor. Maybe it's better now, but I'll let someone else check it out.

Another restaurant that I’m not fond of is Rosa’s in downtown Cancun. Food was not very good and the same with the service. Prices were high. Again it’s been at least ten years ago since my last visit.

I don’t go back once I’ve been burned; there are too many good places to go.

We tried a new place a few weeks ago, by accident. We got on a route 2 bus and there were only locals. We planned to go to La Dolce Vita downtown. There was no way out except through the windows, so we continued on to the stop before WalMart. In Plaza Hollywood there is a nice Argentinian restaurant, which undoubtedly has a name is I can only remember it....the food was good there.

There are definitely some places downtown that are not to be missed. We always make it a point to get to Los Almendros when in Cancun and/or Merida.
