If any of you have any contacts in FF that can help me convert a fixed week with no purchase, please PM me or send me a private email.
Thanks
John

At least tuggers are learning not to discuss things that they don't want to see ended. This is progress......

Depending on how you use your fixed week timeshare ownership with Fairfield, you may find that converting to weeks is not in your best interest!

Be very careful and do your homework before biting the bullet and taking the FF points plunge.

Yvonne gives good advice here. She is a very experienced exchanger with fixed FF weeks.

Yvonne,
Any chance of expanding on what you mean? What would be the down side?
Thanks
John

Conversion of a Fixed Week

I have been thinking of converting also. Is the cost involved warranted by the advantages gained? Are there any disadvantages? For one, it would seem that there are such a large number of points owned by timesharers that it would be difficult to reserve a prime week at any of the more popular resorts unless that particular resort was your home resort at which you could reserve 13 months out. Even then, if you wanted to stay at your home resort and simply change your vacation date, you would have to wait until 10 months out and risk not getting that date at all. Are there any more disadvantages. Thank-you, Ernie.

If there is a particular resort you want to go to each year (or trade through RCI/II) then try to find a floating week at that resort. You have first dibs on reservations before points folks.

If you want to resort hop then points are better.

FF has cut some deals through the HOA's. Check that out too.
