Does anyone know the episode (season and number, or name) in which Chief Wild Eagle explained the origin of the tribe's name? "Where the heck are we?"

IMDB has the quote, but doesn't identify the episode. Youtube has the scene, but again does not identify the episode.

Wikipedia and IMDB have a lot of fun things about F-Troop.

Captain Wilton Parmenter: We come in peace.
Chief Wild Eagle: What else?

Chief Wild Eagle: Have you ever seen a war dance?
Roaring Chicken: Oh yes, many moons ago. Many, many, many moons.
Chief Wild Eagle: Stop with the moons. When?
Roaring Chicken: Forty-two years ago, last spring.

Chief Wild Eagle: It is balloon!

Chief Wild Eagle: Hekawi not fighters! Hekawi lovers!

If you look at the Amazon page for Season 1 of the series, the review contains the line:

'The episode "Reunion for O'Rourke" contains the classic bit about how the Hekawis got their name.'

HTH,
Bob

Oh wow, this brings back memories of back in the day when we had one teevee in the living room and Dad controlled it - and us, when he gave the orders to adjust the tinfoil-wrapped rabbit ears and "quiet down so I can hear it!" He LOVED F-Troop so that meant we all watched it. And man, he howled laughing during every episode and then repeated his favorite lines for days on end.

Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane. :)

Shows like that, Gilligan, Hogan's Heros, and even All in the Family would be too politically incorrect to show today. They were all so very funny.

Thank you!

I got season 1 for Christmas, so now I don't have to go through all of them to find it. (I will be watching tham all, just that that one will be the next one I watch.)

This was a favorite of mine, too. Thanks for the memory jog.

FWIW, seasons 1 and 2 are available from Netflix. DVD only, no streaming.

I was about 12 or 13 when All in the Family went on the air in the early seventies. My parents thought it was inappropriate for me to watch - seems funny compared to what's on TV now but it was pretty controversial back in the day.

It's on from 4:00 to 5:00 every day here, I try to catch it once in a while. Still one of my favourites.

Hadn't thought about F Troop in years.
