Wish California would do this!!

I wish the Commonwealth of Virginia would follow that practice.

Definitely would love a senior discount for using our EZPass. Having one is a great timesaver and generally saves $$ over paying tolls using tickets on turnpikes and tollways.

That being said, we just ransomed our arm or leg using our EZPass traveling back & forth from our timeshare trade in Fredericksburg Va to Mt. Vernon one day and D.C. the next. As best I can reckon it cost us $30 each time. It was great to cruise by traffic backed up for miles... until we reached the end of the Xpress lanes to merge back onto I-95 and joined the logjam. I suppose we saved some time...

Apolitically speaking, our current interstate highway system cannot support the traffic load in major cities. Yesterday we traveled from Fredericksburg to the outskirts of Baltimore aka Linthicom- a 92 mile trip that took 3 hours! Ridiculous!! We did leave I-95 at Lorton VA and joined I-495 at the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Maryland which probably saved us 45 minutes.

We avoid Charlotte NC as that area is also a disaster.

Thanks for letting me vent!

Charlotte NC is okay non rush hour. Even rush hour not as bad as New York City.
