Hello.... can somebody please tell me if booking trips via RCI's Extra Vacation for Feb 2008 a good idea? The cost for Cancun Palace is $179 fee plus AI fee of $2256 for double occupancy. Does anyone know if there are any hidden fees? Thanks

We love RCI Extra Vacations and Last Calls. However, beware that the vast majority of Cancun area TSs are 'all inclusive' and hence cost a bunch and keep you from exploring the area and trying other restaurants. I see that you discovered this already. The TSs on the West Coast of Mexico are generally not AI and will save you a lot.

Good Luck

Ask for discounted AI rates

Ask RCI about the AI promotional rate. RCI was offering discounted AI rates for Feb/March of 2009. These discounts are not posted, you have to ask for them.

Thanks, I definitely will. I wonder though, since I found this through the extra vacation section if the discounted offer applies to it. Hmmm... I guess I'll find out & post it when I do. Thanks again!

A "good deal" is in the eye of the beholder. For me, that would not be a good deal, but I'm not really someone that would do AI.

You can search for the same elsewhere on the internet in order to compare, and then you may know if it is A Good Deal.

Good luck!
