Has anyone used the Marriott deedback program to exit your timeshare? How was it? Any glitches or warnings?
Yes we did last year with our St Kitts Beach Club weeks.
It worked OK, but took a very long time even though we had all the original paperwork.
Apart from this, the most frustrating part was the conflicting information they provided on whether “notarisation” was required or not.
Although this is very common in the US, it is far less so internationally and even the US Consulate in Europe said that MVC Corporate just do not understand this or the complexity it can cause.
In the end, rather than spending a day and £100+ going to London to the US Embassy hoping to get an appointment, we took a much shorter trip to the small and very helpful Consulate in Palma whilst staying at Club Son Antem and had our documents notarised there.
