I own a Holiday Inn Ridge Tahoe timeshare and am considering exchanging it through Interval International. I’m trying to set my expectations for what I can get in return for my unit. Has anyone had experience exchanging a Holiday Inn property through Interval? What kinds of properties or destinations should I realistically expect to access?

Additionally, I plan to return my Ridge Tahoe timeshare to Holiday Inn in the near future. If I deposit a week with Interval International before returning it, will I still be able to use the deposited week even if I no longer own the timeshare.

In most cases, the resort will not authorize the deposit if you are in-default and/or having paid your maintenance fee.

There seems to be a lot of availability for Ridge Tahoe exchanges, so for the highest demand you need a very strong date - perhaps a ski week.

Did you convert to HICV points or do you still have a fixed week? If it is a fixed week and you pay your own II membership fee then once the deposit is verified, it shouldn't matter if you exit as long as you continue to pay your II fees.

i own fixed weeks. It’s been many years since I used II. I have Presidents’ Day week reserved this year and next.
