Exchanging into Manhattan Club NYC - Chances

I see the Manhattan Club is traded on bot RCI and II. I am a member of II and wanted to know how difficult it is to get into the Manhatten Club in NYC. Particularily over the 4th of July week. I would bee looking to exchange in 2009.

As I remember there are 242 Manhattan Club units in the RCI system. There are 24 brand new Penthouse suites associated with the Interval Interval program.

In my opinion, purchasers of these $30,000 units are probably buying to use and not trade any time soon.

I have a Gold Floating week at the Marriott Aruba Ocean Club that I will be exchanging.

Your chance thru 11 is not every good for July 4 week as stated before 11 only has 24 unites of penthouse suites, while RCI has 242 unites plus new smaller Metropolitan suites
your best bet might be direct exchange, check tug direct exchange list

I have traded my marriott 3 times through sfx for a Manhattan Club week. The nice thing about sfx is first you will get a bonus week, they are great and work just as your deposited week. second sfx will call their members who own a manhattan club week and ask them to deposit the week you want. I actually have not even belonged to II in several years.

I have a request pending right now for the Manhattan Club through SFX for next summer. I expect that I will get it as they gave always come through for me for the past 10+ years.

SFX did get me a September week ( what I requested ) at the Manhattan club in 2006. Unfortunately we had to cancel due to an unforeseen conflict with other plans.

RCI exchange into NY

I have been on the exchange list for a year and was told by a phone reservationist that an exchange will not happen because of the demand for this place.

Was she wrong? Or what can we do to get into Manhatten given our red week banked weeks?

What do you mean by "the list"? Do you have an ongoing search in place for Manhattan Club?

I've traded into MC three times. Manhattan Club is not all that hard to exchange for through RCI, but to do it you need to have a very strong trader, and an understanding of when the resort makes its deposits available. If you have a strong trader, put in your search 18 months in advance, and are open to a broad range of dates, then you should be successful.

If you request one specific week (i.e. July 4th, 2008), I would guess that the chances of success through RCI are very limited.

On 5/6/07 I exchanged a blue 1 bdrm WorldMark week for an exesuite 4/2 for 5/3/08-510/08 through RCI....I received a one plus one bonus week from RCI also. It was found online through a search with my blue week I had deposited.

It is possible, but I would imagine I had luck with my exchange!
