We are at WLR now using our resale every odd week 2 BR ownership. Considering enrollment for options and use of Abound, although we said no during our presentation Monday. What is a worthwhile route (if any) with an EOY ownership? After reading other threads it sounds like it would be better to go back and purchase a annual resale week first to enroll oif that is the route we ultimately want to get to.

How are you using it today? Just home resort and II exchange? It isn't in VSN? If you are using it for exchange, it won't save you anything and will actually cost you more. Exchange fees, $164x2, and the II membership fee of $99x2. It would add an annual Club Dues fee of at least $250. Then you have at least $10,000 to retro the week. It is a money losing proposition. You would gain flexibility with StarOptions and Club Points, but you can probably get more value out of it through Home Resort usage and II exchanging.

Yes, just home resort usage at this point. We like WSJ, bit will probably just stick to renting there.

Unless you want to be able to use StarOptions, then it doesn't make a lot of sense to retro. Even then you are probably better to just go out and buy a mandatory resale week somewhere like WKV or SVV (Bella or Key West).

Would buying a 2 bedroom WKV every other year be worthwhile? We really don't need every year unless we purchased a 1 bedroom

Enrollment in VSN makes sense if you plan to use StarOptions [NOT converting to Abound].
Enrollment can be a good value if you are enrolling multiple resale units [E.g. Enrolling 3 x EY 2BR-PLAT would cost $20K and accrue 444300-SO Annually].
