Graceland saved! Mystery lender who tried to auction off Elvis Presley's Memphis home gives up legal battle after Riley Keough's court victory

Elvis's music was about 25 years too late for me. I'm not getting why Graceland is an attraction either. I get that Elvis was the "King" for certain generations but I don't get why anyone would want to see his old mansion unless they are over 80.

You can get a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Made just the way Elvis liked them.

Elvis is a cultural touch point. It is not like Fabian or Bobby Darin. Why celebrate Memorial Day ? I can barely remember the end of the civil war myself, but still understand the cultural impact of it, and acknowledge memorial day.

I knew a guy who was a big Elvis fan. He had a cardboard Elvis in his office.

As a gag gift, someone (not me) put a roll of toilet paper on his desk with a label that said... "From a Bathroom at Graceland."

I am 53 and I have always wanted to visit Graceland. I am not a huge Elvis fan, but it is just a part of pop culture for many years.

I wouldn't take a trip just to go see it, but if I find myself anywhere near there, I will definitely go see it.

My wife and daughter are huge fans , been there several times.
Once for the 45 th anniversary of his death Elvis week.
Loved it!
We will plan on going on the 50th anniversary

I would rather check out Nashville but if for some reason we were in Memphis I might check out Graceland.

This was a fraud case. The person who was trying to foreclose on Graceland had forged documents. The granddaughter is the sole owner and the property is in good financial shape.
Was this akin to those advertisements for title/deed monitoring? I'm always hearing on the radio how the deed to one's home can be forged.

It must be a pretty big deal with a large hotel nearby. It was used as the location for a Hallmark Christmas movie (who doesn't LOVE those!!) and I was surprised about the hotel, but I guess that makes sense.

Besides the White House, isn't Graceland the second most famous residence in the US?

We visited both Nashville and Memphis a few years ago. We did tour Graceland one morning while in Memphis and it was fun. I was surprised how small the actual mansion was, bigger than my house, but not extravagant by modern standards.

There was a car museum across across the street included with our ticket that housed many of Elvis' cars. Think I enjoyed that more, not sure if that is part of this current court case. .

I don't know but when we visited Herst Castle or Ranch in California I thought it was really something impressive.

Graceland is probably more famous, but Hearst Castle is way more impressive than Graceland.

IMHO, The Biltmore in Asheville is more impressive than both.
The Biltmore dwarfs Hearst Castle; Graceland is a mere cottage.

I haven't seen either the Hearst Castle or Graceland, but the Biltmore is absolutely jaw dropping. Especially when you learn about how many "modern"conveniences it had for its day. The grounds are also beautiful as is the surrounding countryside. WELL worth a visit!

Ohhh, are there any timeshares within like an hour from there? Might be a place I try and visit.

We visited it when we stayed at a timeshare in Maggie Valley. We also visited all the mansions in Newport, Hearst Castle, but never Graceland.

Ah, I'd love to visit the Hearst Castle! I've been to the Biltmore and it was lovely! OK, clearly these two homes are more grand than Graceland..but, more famous? :D

Who tried to steal Graceland?

A trail of clues left by Naussany Investments, the fake company that scammed Elvis Presley's family, led to a grandmother in Missouri.
