Elara Fitness Center Updates? (December 2025)

When I stayed in late October, the fitness center was closed for... renovations, repairs, something. We were allowed to use the fitness center at the Polo Towers (which was actually pretty nice!), but I'm curious if anyone has updates on the Elara fitness center. Why was it closed? Were any changes made?

After seeing how nice the Polo Towers fitness center is, the Elara fitness center is due for a facelift! It's not bad, but some of the equipment was starting to show its age (e.g., at least one elliptical was always out of service).

I love being recognized by @mountainboy as an Elara expert, but I have to admit after all these years and stays, I've never set foot in the gym!

I'd like to call on @Clifbell who always includes the fitness centers in his reviews of various HGVC properties. I think you were there recently as you mentioned F1 in one of your videos...

I was at the Elara for F1, but did not even think to look for a fitness center.

I was in the fitness center last weekend. Looked the same as last year. All treadmills and ellipticals were working. They did replace the 2 rowing machines with new machines. No longer any foam rollers or yoga mats. Certainly didn't notice any big difference or upgrade other than the rowing machines.
