Ebay - CWP for Ocean Blvd for 1.103Million points - 10 cent bid

Code gets emailed to you --- might have gone to SPAM. Look as it is about impossible to get the code resent.

And your VIP level is ....

I am VIP Gold, but my husband and I are researching to find out what is the best way to get to Platinum. It looks like we will buy two weeks and PIC them, but we also want to buy some more Wyndham resale points to go along with that. The property we are looking at is a July week, so I'm thinking that we won't be able to use the points associated with the week until January of 2014.

If we purchase weeks to weeks and PIC them, it will be a while before we can use the points I'm thinking. For this reason, we are thinking of buying some points and that probably some Club Wyndham Access so that we can have ARP at many resorts.

Do pooled points allow you to ARP anywhere?

Cynthia

Yeah...IDK....I'm kind of confused because I found the code and went back to register, but it tells me I'm already registered, but still marks me as a guest.
I email the administrator to fix the problem.

You have to BUY developer points to get deeds PIC'ed into Wyndham. And they have a minimum number of points to do that.

Club Wyndham Access - MANY of the weeks moved into CWA are the older resorts FIXED WEEKS that were foreclosed on by the HOAs or traded in by owners for points packages. Look at the list of CWA resorts. No Ocean Walk, No Royal Vista but Santa Barbara and Sea Gardens. Some of the NEWEST resorts had unsold UDI Points inventory moved into CWA ... but CWA ia NOT disclosing how much ARP is available at various resorts.

I own Fixed Weeks at Sea Gardens and Santa Barbara - Winter Snowbird Fixed Deeded Weeks and unit number. I can sell those at anytime for as much or MORE money than I paid for them. They rent for more than the MFs. How many Fixed week owners defaulted on those units - very few. How many traded them into Wyndham for points recently - as many owners at one time did convert them to CWP points (I have a few of those, too -- I am in the process of "de-Pointing" them) but the ARP goes with that deed (and CWP as that is the ARP WINDOW for the converted fixed weeks points owner).

CWA has it PLUSes - gives a HOME to unwanted and offseason older Fixed Weeks where the MFs are paid. Is a club membership that can/is terminated with a certified letter and 60 days of unpaid MFs. Looks pretty on paper to sell. Can work for ARP in some cases. Has a blended MFs over some of the resorts where costs are higher (like beach resorts in FL).

Okay I understand.

I guess when you said you were pooling point from 2015 and 2016 I got thrown off because I didn't realize you could do that. My immediate thought was that you were using your points to pay for maintenance fees and last time I checked that was not worth it.

I am a Silver VIP so I have to pool before my use year begins.

When you read the book on the Points Credit Pool it says something like : If you know you wont be able to use all your points next year, you can put those points in the points credit pool thereby extending their live for 3 years. So its clear you can take points and push them into the future....What's not clear is that you can take future points and pull them into the present. But you can do this and its what I do. I didnt learn this on TUG, a VC taught me that lesson

I have already pooled my 2014 and 2015 points. In January 2014 I will be able to pool my 2016 points

So the points are pooled in January each year and you can pool the next two calendar year's points.

You have to pool your 2014 BEFORE Dec 31, 2013.

In Jan 2014, Ron is pooling his 2016 USE YEAR points ... Not his 2014 points.

As soon as he pools the 2016 points, he can start pulling points out to book MORE 2014 reservations.

December 31, 2014. Even today? And what are the pooling rules for 2016? As long as I pool them before December 31, 2015. Even if I did it today?

Hi cy - Welcome to TUG!

Ron has been hanging around here for a little over 2 years. Didn't own any timeshares at that time - he has been learning. He didn't know a thing about float or fixed or points or event weeks. And he still works FULLTIME (at least we all think he does;)).

So, please stick around - lots to learn about Wyndham and timesharing in general. It is not HOW MANY Wyndham points you own - it is how much you understand and use the features of timesharing...

Lately Ive been working full time in rehab,(no not drugs) Im trying to make this new knee work like it should

I am a licensed real estate agent and I will still buy or sell a house of condo for you, but Im shifting my focus to a niche market...timeshares and vacation rentals

Thats how I justify all the time I spend here on TUG

Yes ... YOU have to pool your points BEFORE your use year (unless GOLD or higher VIP - then the dates are into your USE year).

You got the USE YEAR rules correct in for BOTH of your example. Just remember, $39 each pooling .. which is not a bad price tag in Wyndham-land.
