What app or place is the easiest to create photos or a photo book for the tech inept?

I have 846 photos just from my wedding. I have been sitting in front of my computer all day attempting to upload them to Shutterfly. So far 215 have uploaded. Does it really take this long or have I screwed something up?

Is there an easier way or app? Has anyone used Costco photo services. Not all 846 are print quality i.e. Someone's eyes are closed. I just thought the drag and drop method was way to slow and frustrating. I figured if I could upload them all then I would delete the ones I don't want saved to an app while not deleting any off my computer.

Any advise or experience would be appreciated.

You could try Costco, if you're a member: https://www.costcophotocenter.com/ProductDetails/Photobooks

Edit: Sorry, just saw you mentioned them. You'd probably need someone to edit the photos, but if their eyes are closed, not much you can do with that.

Also, Shutterfly is a PITA, and print quality isn't very good. I had a coupon one time that I used, but the book I built looked much better on my computer than the book they delivered. At least with Costco, if you don't like the results, you can get a refund.

I did use Shutterfly recently and my husband said the same thing about the print quality. I thought it was user error/me!!

Ive done several books over the years with different services. Ive used Mypublisher which is now shutterfly and costco. I would use costco because its easier. Shutterfly you can get a little fancier with. I wouldn't upload all 800 photos. I would get rid of all the obvious ones. Also dont over do the photos...100 is probably plenty....I have found that pages with one photo on them always look the most dramatic or artistic. I would try to have at least 25% of the photos take a full page. The more planning you do before you start the easier it will be. Otherwise your going to find your self wanting to move stuff around after you have already set up a lot of it. if this makes any sense. A project like this will take you a big investment of time. Dont be in a rush to get it printed. Look at it for a few days after you think its completed to make sure your happy with the arrangement. Also check closely any spelling if you have text. Good luck and have fun.

I did Mixbook when I was asked to make a large album for a farewell gift for our pastor years ago. I needed to have a large leather album with 150 pages. (Technically 75 because each side counts as a page.) They have some nice ones for weddings and you can do as many pages as you wish as compared to some that only let you have 70 pages front & back. You can write nice comments, add PDF's choose from numerous fonts and page looks. It was not terribly expensive. They have lots of sales.

A friend who is big into scrapbooking told me about them. https://www.mixbook.com/

I did it online because I wanted to see everything larger - I even used a 32" LCD TV connected to my laptop.
